| HARRPA represents the producers of resins derived from hydrocarbon feedstock from the petrochemical industry, and resins based on natural raw materials from trees called crude tall oil and gum rosin. This natural raw material is well known as the "sticky" product in your Christmas tree. After chemical reaction, the raw materials become resins. Depending on the starting materials and the nature of the reaction, the resins can be coloured from water white to dark yellow/brown and from liquid to a solid form with a softening point of more than 200°C. Numerous applications include binding material (tackifier) in paint and coatings, adhesives, printing inks, rubber and sealants and also chewing gum and cosmetics. |
