With the European Responsible Care Awards Cefic recognizes outstanding approaches to progress Responsible Care and Sustainable Development. All companies participating in Responsible Care are eligible; small and medium-sized businesses compete for the General Award as well as for the dedicated SME Award. Winners are featured in a film produced by Cefic.

In July 2008, Cefic staged this exhibition in the European Parliament of Strasbourg. The video shows the communication approach chosen for this exhibition on the solutions offered by the chemical industry for a better energy efficiency: display pictures and tools in a house, combine emotions and rational explanations.

A set of five postcards has been designed by Cefic to illustrate the savings enabled by chemicals in the area of insulation, transport, renewables, lighting systems, crop protection and the chemical processes themselves.
