The following substances may potentially impact on human health and/or the aquatic environment or may contribute to atmospheric acidity or depletion of the ozone layer.

This list will be reviewed in the light of chemical industry’s experiences and new developments such as the forthcoming Water Framework Directive, air quality standards etc.
