ICCA ICCA Initiative - Suggested steps to follow

(not in a strict order)

 

1.

ICCA Global HPV list of chemicals or groups of chemicals either on the HPV lists of two or more regions, N. America, Japan and Europe, or otherwise of interest to two or more regions.

2.

Nomination of chemicals work on which is to be spread over 1999 through 2004.

3.

Formation of consortia covering two or more regions (to be added to the ICCA tracking system).

|

4.

Agreement by the consortia companies on the work under the ICCA Initiative (to be added to the ICCA tracking system).

|

5.

Identification of the Consortium Focal Point or Lead Company (to be added to the ICCA tracking system).

|
|

6.

Identification of the OECD Sponsor Country (to be added to the ICCA tracking system), normally the country of the Consortium Focal Point or Lead Company.

7.

Review and validation of the available data by the consortia and/or a panel of experts.

|
|

8.

Identification of possible data gaps and agreement on testing.

|
|

9.

Agreement on burden- and cost-sharing.

|
|

10.

Consultation with the OECD Sponsor Country on testing plans.

|
|

11.

Agreement with the testing laboratories on details of the testing including timing (to be added to the ICCA tracking system).

12.

Evaluation of the completed SIDS package.

|
|

13.

Identification of possible hazards and preparation of a draft hazard assessment.

|

14.

Agreement with OECD Sponsor Country which then forwards the SIDS Initial Assessment Report (SIAR) to OECD:
