    This public letter expresses the support of the European chemical industry for the efforts of European governments and Institution to achieve an ambitious and globally-binding agreement in Paris and the transition to a competitive low carbon economy. It also emphasises the role a competitive European chemical industry can play in that transition. The open Letter, signed by our President, Jean-Pierre Clamadieu and other leaders of the European chemical industry was published in the Financial Times on 5th November 2015

    Cefic Response to the EC Public Consultation on the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD)

    The EPBD has been effective in promoting energy efficiency in new buildings, but a more concerted effort is required to improve the energy efficiency of existing building stock. The EU must work to ensure longterm investments in energy efficiency in buildings by coming forward with a vision for the whole building stock translated in individual goals and renovation plans
