In co-operation with EFTCO (European Federation of Tank Cleaning Organisations) and ECTA (European Chemical Transport Association), the electronic SQAS package and database have been launched for Tank Cleaning Stations in October 2003.
The SQAS cleaning station package consists of two documents:
Both documents are available in six languages: English, French, German, Italian, Dutch and Spanish (see SQAS website).
Only accredited SQAS assessors (see List of Accredited SQAS Assessors) can carry out assessments of SQAS cleaning stations.
The list of assessed cleaning stations is available on the SQAS cleaning website.
The assessment reports are stored on a central database, accessible only to chemical companies that are member of the Cefic SQAS Service Group and to the transport companies that are member of the Logistics and Distributors User Group.
