A great part of her career, Colette Alma worked for Shell. From 1981 onwards sheworked at the Royal Shell Laboratory in Amsterdam, Shell Chemicals Netherlands,NAM, Shell Research and Technology Centre Amsterdam and Shell Netherlands,where she worked in areas like R&D, Planning, Environmental management, Qualitymanagement, Organisational development, Training and Public Affairs.From 2000 until 2004 she was director of NIDO (National Initiative SustainableDevelopment).
In September 2004 Colette Alma started as general manager at the VNCI (Associationof the Dutch Chemical Industry). She also represents the VNCI in several boards ofnational and international associations and organisations in the field of the chemicalindustry.
