Jesús F. Guinea (55) holds a degree and a PhD in Mining Engineering from the Polytechnical University of Madrid and also an M.S. in Economics & Business Administration from the Complutense University of Madrid and an M.S. in Law from the U.N.E.D.
He began his professional career in 1977 in the Petrochemical Industry in the Operation & Process area in Puertollano (Ciudad Real-Spain). Since the creation of Repsol he has held several managerial roles as Director of Repsol Chemicals Industrial Complex in Puertollano, Director of Repsol Chemicals Industrial Complex in Tarragona and Director of Production & Logistics for Chemicals in Madrid.
In 2004 he was appointed as Director of Refining & Logistics for YPF in Argentina. He has served on the board of several companies throughout his career, as well as of professional organizations both in Europe and Latin America. Since March, 2008 he is Managing Director of Repsol’s Chemicals Business.
